I mentioned in a previous post that I couldn't wait to see what my first grader had created for me at school and wrapped in a brown paper bag.
Christmas morning arrived, and my curiousity was sated... but not immediately. After I opened the cherished package, I was still quite curious about the treasure I held in the palm of my hand. Thankfully, my sweet 7-year old was ready to explain her art.
See the photo of the item? You probably have the same curiosity that I did. What IS it???
So, I'm presenting a little contest. Leave a comment on this post about what you think the object is, and at noon on Wednesday 1/9 I will choose one winner from the comments listed. Someone may be lucky enough to actually guess it, but if not, the winner shall be determined by the comment that most tickles my funny bone.
There is a prize for the winner! It's not groundbreaking, but it's all about the fun of a contest, right? Try it. I'm now curious about what interpretations may come.

Jake and Kimble say Rinosorus..."CLEARLY" he says. I thought dinosaur.
Uncle Rob thinks it's an elephant or a dinosaur. Aunt Julie however, thinks it's a turtle. You can send the prize money our way any time. We'll email you our paypal account.
Is it uncle Dan's dog Roxy?
Dan
I also think it is an elephant.... am i close... if rob and i get it... tell him i get the prize since my husband is taking him boarding... =)
To the untrained eye I can understand why you all have been confused and assumed it is a normal creature from earth. But being the professional that I am I can confirm that this art work depicts a magical leoplurodon as seen in the recent "Charlie the Unicorn" found on Youtube. The Magical leoplurodon is most often used for directing children and foolish unicorns to the all impressive candy mountain. Please sent my award first class mail to

My first thought was a rhino but after looking longer it looks like one of the DragonTales characters...not sure the exact one but if I must be more specific I will check with my kids and get back to you! :)
I'm going with rhino...whatever it is, you can tell it was made with love! How sweet!!
